Lynette, UPP’s leader and founder, brings a strong record of success to a wide range of planning projects. She grew up in the Bay Area and developed a love for buildings and places while still in elementary school. She has been involved in shaping its growth for over 30 years. Lynette has a passion for planning policy and process, especially as they relate to the urban environment.

Within the planning world, Lynette is known and admired for her practical advice, love of matrices, and focus on solutions. She loves processes, whether related to planning policy or environmental review. Lynette’s favorite projects are those that are catalysts for change, including private/public projects and significant redevelopment/reuse projects from the coast to the Sierras.

When not working, Lynette enjoys renovating her 1920’s bungalow, visiting the California coast, designing her dream handbag, and cooking for her family and friends.
