Carla Violet
Associate Principal
Carla is an Oakland native and fierce Warriors’ fan. Her passion for urban planning grew from a desire to revitalize Oakland equitably while still protecting the best qualities of her hometown -- its diversity, arts, and activist roots.
Throughout her career, Carla has focused on increasing housing affordability and economic opportunity. She especially enjoys mentoring new planners, involving youth in the planning process, and facilitating community engagement workshops.
Outside of the office, Carla can be found at a dance class, jogging/lounging by Lake Merritt, or traveling with her hubby and friends.
